Daddy's Little Princess

Well I don't even know where to begin. Life has been really crazy and hectic lately. First McKenzie started army crawling a few weeks ago, she refuses to get up on her knees. A week later she started pulling up on everything and walking around alittle holding on to things. As of now Mc still doesn't have any teeth, but alot of slobber! I got sick last week(went to the Dr.) and could barely speak (which was so hard)! Then McKenzie got sick and now David is sick(went to the Dr. yesterday). I took McKenzie to the Dr. last week and he said she is about 2 months a head on the whole pulling up thing and she already wears some 12 month clothes. This kid is a force to be reckoned with. She has her Daddy's temper (he says it mine), she can go from 0 to 60 in no time! This week we went to have pictures taken and she of course did her own thing. The photographer said that we would never have to worry about McKenzie being a follower.

Last week McKenzie, David and I hung out with Melissa, Colin and Dee. We had a blast. The girls play so well together. Melissa and I took the girls for a wagon ride and I heard one of my Moms dogs barking. I knew something was wrong and I found a board and went into the back yard. I grabbed the dogs and put them in the house and Melissa took the girls back to the house. Val had dug a hole by the fence and a huge snake had fallen into it. I could hear the snake hissing across the yard and when I walked up to the hole he struck at me like a viper. He had a flat head with a diamond back pattern on him. I swung the board and yelled for my brother in law. He grabbed an axe and we killed the snake! I took a picture and we went and did some research on the web. It was a cotton mouth water moccasin (very deadly). We have never seen one of these in the neighborhood. A developer has been doing alot of cross cutting and burning in our neighborhood and I think the animals are being pushed out of their homes. David, my Dad and I have been killing lots of snakes this year! UGH!!!!!! I am just praying that our dogs stay away from them. So...to say the least last week was eventful.

Also we took McKenzie for a swim last week and she had tons of fun. I keep telling Dave we need a pool because both his girls love the water!!!! I will keep you posted on that one!!!!!! I promise to have more later!!!!!!

7 Months Old

Okay so I know it has been awhile but things here have been very busy! Yesterday was McKenzie's 7 month B-day!!! I cant believe our little girl is 7 months old! Lots has happened since I wrote. !st of all McKenzie sits up on her own and is almost crawling. She loves to eat her fruits and veggies an d even some yogurt now and then. Everyday she does something new that tops the something from the day before. Like now she crinkles her nose and snorts...who ever thought that a snort would be so dang cute!!!! She is our little pumpkin!!!!!! I cant imagine my life without her!

In other news, Granny has been in Alaska and Pappy has been taking excellent care of the little Princess! Oma came down for a visit and kept her a few days to give Pappy a break. Oma and McKenzie went for long walks and had much fun together! My sister Melissa was laid off at her job this week, so she and Delaney are going to start coming for a visit every week so the girls can play together! My work has been very stressful and I have had to fill in for a sick employee. It seems like when it rains it pours! Things are starting to slow down though so I am going to try to keep my blog up to date! I promise I will take more pictures and post them soon!!!!!

Also note that the baby in the picture above is 1 week younger than McKenzie. Ava Kate wears 3 month outfits and McKenzie is in 9-12 months. Also..McKenzie is about to fall asleep, she usually isnt that calm!
